What is Liturgy Links
Liturgy Links is a column in Carmel, the parish bulletin of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Wentworthville (Sydney, Australia). The purpose of Liturgy Links is to provide education to parishioners about liturgy in brief and easy-to-understand articles, while encouraging people to be critical and think more carefully about the issues surrounding the celebration of liturgy. When Liturgy Links began in mid-2006, it was hoped that these articles could be available to parishioners online as well as in print, also providing an archive of articles. This blog is the result.
Liturgy Links articles are written by Parish Liturgy Coordinator, Robert Barden. Robert has been Liturgy Coordinator since November 1999, and is engaged in the parish’s music ministry. He holds a Master of Arts (Liturgy) degree from Australian Catholic University and is a member of the Liturgical Commission of the Diocese of Parramatta.
The thoughts expressed in Liturgy Links articles are those of the author, and are not necessarily those of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Wentworthville, the Diocese of Parramatta, or any other authority within the Roman Catholic Church.
